Fantastische olijfolie met een heerlijk uitgesproken smaak
De bestelling en levering verliepen erg vlot! Ik was in eerste instantie bezorgd omdat er onlangs nog een frauduleuze website was waar ik een lamp had gekochT, betaald en helaas NOOIT ontvangen ! Ik uitte mijn bezorgdheid naar haar toe, en een persoonlijke mail in het Nederlands bevestigde mijn vermoeden dat deze dame alles met hart en ziel doet !
Zo dus de productie van de zalige olijfolie ! Meteen bij het gebruik heb ik haar een foto gestuurd ! Ik wil ook zeker de realisatie van de b&b volgen.

Als ik één ding uit mijn keuken zou moeten redden, is het deze olie. Serieus: een scheut Oliva Tranquilla en zelfs doordeweekse pasta doet alsof ze in een toprestaurant staat te shinen. De smaak? Zacht, vol, en net dat tikkeltje “hé, wie heeft hier een chef ingehuurd?”. De fles is niet alleen mooi en stijlvol, maar ook gewoon handig in gebruik—geen geklieder, wel klasse op het aanrecht.
En dan de service… wat een verademing. Bestellen gaat vlot, je krijgt meteen duidelijke updates over betaling en levering, en voor je het weet staat je keuken klaar voor de volgende smaakupgrade. Ik gebruik ’m dagelijks en blijf elke keer glimlachen. Aanrader? Absoluut.

Why soap too?
Sometimes people ask me, “Why do you even make soap?”
The answer is simple: because I don't want to waste anything and because I believe olive oil can be more than just what's in a bottle. Olive oil deserves a place not only in the kitchen, but also on your skin. For centuries, people have used it to nourish, protect, and care for.
Not every liter of olive oil makes it through my strict selection process to become Tranquilla in a bottle. Sometimes there's olive oil left over, or it's just not quite premium enough to bear my name. So I decided: that olive oil deserves a purpose too. And so, the soap was born. Just one ingredient that can do it all!
For me, this also felt like coming home. I'd already made soap in Belgium; I love experimenting, creating with my hands. So it wasn't a wild idea, but a logical step: to use the same pure, organic oil I bottle in a soap.
Tranquilla soap is an extension of the same philosophy as my olive oil: no compromises, no unnecessary additives, just purity and quality. And because care can also be beautiful, it's not just a bar of soap, but also a lovely gift.

CAN I ALSO USE THIS SOAP IN NATURE?
Absolutely. This soap is 100% biodegradable and completely safe for plants and animals. Whether you're showering in the garden, camping, or washing in a river while wild camping, nature is protected. That's why we'll soon be using it in the outdoor shower at our B&B Zia Madeleine .
WHY DOES THIS SOAP FOAM LESS THAN OTHER SOAPS?
Olive oil soap naturally lathers poorly because we don't add synthetic foaming agents or coconut oil. This makes the soap gentler on your skin, without any drying agents.

DOES THIS SOAP REALLY CONTAIN ONLY OLIVE OIL?
Yes! Our soap is made exclusively with Tranquilla organic extra virgin olive oil. This means it contains no coconut oil, palm oil, or synthetic foaming agents. Just pure olive oil saponified with water and lye.
Many commercial soaps contain multiple cheap oils to keep costs down, but we are all about quality and simplicity.
No dyes or perfumes.
IS OLIVE OIL SOAP SUSTAINABLE?
Our olive oil soap is handcrafted in Tuscany using our organic olive oil, which would otherwise be wasted. Our soap is biodegradable, plastic-free, and zero waste.
This means:
- no microplastics or synthetic additives that harm the environment or our bodies
- no unnecessary packaging, just a simple paper wrapper
- A circular product: made with olive oil that didn't survive our strict selection for premium quality or wasn't sold in time, but is still extra virgin olive oil. Instead of letting this oil go to waste, we give it a second life in our soap, creating a sustainable, circular product.

- Organic extra virgin olive oil (Tranquilla): gently moisturizes and cleanses
- water: necessary for the saponification process
- lye (sodium hydroxide): essential for saponification, disappears completely in the final product
- citric acid: a natural ingredient from citrus fruits or sugars; it regulates pH, improves foam, and extends shelf life
- Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate: naturally derived ingredient from fermented corn; this improves shelf life and makes your soap lather better
